In this blog, we will present some recommendations for places in Málaga where you can study, along with information about their amenities and opening hours if you don’t feel like staying in the study room of the residence and prefer to go out a bit.

Málaga Central Library

Located on Avenida de Cervantes, the Central Library of Málaga is an ideal place to study in a quiet, cozy, and peaceful environment. 

It features spacious reading rooms, internet access, book lending, and an extensive collection of academic resources. This library is a 40-minute walk from the Xior Málaga Teatinos residence or 20 minutes by public transport.

The opening hours vary, but it generally opens from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

“Miguel Cervantes” Library

This library is located a 35-minute walk from the Xior Málaga Teatinos residence or 20 minutes by public transport. 

The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM during the school period.

Café with Books

This café is located in Plaza de la Merced. If you prefer to study in a more relaxed environment with access to drinks and food, this café can be the perfect option. Situated in the city center, it offers a peaceful atmosphere with spacious tables and free Wi-Fi. 

It’s a space where you have a wide variety of books, magazines, or newspapers to read while enjoying a good breakfast, coffee, crepe, or sandwich.

The café is usually open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Café de L’abuela

A very pleasant café to study in with a retro atmosphere and a terrace where they serve breakfast, meals, and a wide variety of teas.

You can find it on Calle Echegaray, and its opening hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Starbucks

Sometimes this international chain comes in handy if you haven’t found the ideal café for studying. There are several Starbucks cafés in Málaga that offer a comfortable environment and easy access to Wi-Fi.
