Visit the Sagrada Familia, you can’t miss it!

Sagrada Familia, an emblem of the city and of European architecture, it is open to the public every Sunday of the year, free of charge, from 9 am to 10 am, during the celebration of mass.

Of course, you will have to get up early to be able to get there in time to get a place in the basilica, as there are many people like you who will have the same idea.

Also bear in mind that capacity is limited and that many faithful people, especially the elderly, always come to Sunday mass as tradition dictates and it won’t cost them anything to get up early before you. For other discounts and advantages you can check the Sagrada Família website.

Discover the Picasso Museum

One of those places that you have to visit during your stay in Barcelona is undoubtedly the magnificent Picasso Museum. That is why it is one of the most important and most visited museums in Catalonia.

You can enter for free on Thursday afternoons from 4pm or on the first Sunday of every month. And if you can’t make it on these dates or times, you can check prices and buy tickets here.

Free concerts in Barcelona

Barcelona has an interesting musical offer for all tastes and, best of all, some of them are free. For this reason, we recommend that you discover the cultural plans of the different neighbourhoods of Barcelona, because they always organise some kind of musical show.

Why go to neighbourhood festivals?

Barcelona’s neighbourhoods are the spirit of the city, and the popular festivals are the best way to fully integrate yourself into Barcelona’s life as if you were part of its history.

Our recommendation is that when summer arrives you should be aware of all the cultural and leisure events organised in the most important neighbourhoods such as Gracia, Poblenou, Barceloneta and Raval. We can assure you that you’ll have a great time.

A stroll along Barcelona’s beaches

There is no plan more fun and economical than going to the beaches of Barcelona. You’ll be able to enjoy incredible experiences with friends, whether you’re sunbathing, playing sports or swimming along the Mediterranean Sea.

On any of Barcelona’s beaches you’ll find all the atmosphere you need and everything you need, including bars and restaurants, to make your spring and summer days the best they can be.

You can go on excursions to the forest

If you’re more into parks and forests, you should know that Barcelona has several interesting options that will make you fully connect with nature.

For example, just a few minutes from the city you have all the vegetation that Montjuic has to offer, an ideal place for outdoor sports or picnics with friends. You can also visit the Barcelona Bunkers, a beautiful place where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Barcelona.

On the other hand, if you like long walks without many people around, about 20 minutes away from the city by car or train, you can find the natural park of Collserola, a fantastic option for nature lovers and where you can go for long walks, yoga and meditation sessions, mountain biking or even barbecues with friends.

Open-air cinema in Barcelona

In Barcelona you have the opportunity to enjoy good independent films of all times, either on the beach of Barceloneta or at the castle of Montjuic.

Both are great options if you’re a film buff. Completely free, you’ll just have to take care of the snacks and drinks.

We hope to see you soon at Xior Barcelona and that you become a new member of the Xior family!
