Christmas Is Coming! Meet Some of The Christmas Markets in Málaga

Málaga is one of Spain’s prime destinations, and during the Christmas season, the markets are more beautiful than ever. Quite a few Christmas markets in the city can provide visitors with many ideas for gifts, as well as plenty of entertainment.
In Xior Málaga we celebrate Christmas above all else because this is a very special date for us! And we are excited to be able to celebrate with you all!
The main traditional Christmas markets that you should visit are the following:

Christmas Market at Paseo del Parque

The largest market in Malaga at Christmas takes place on the Paseo del Parque. Dozens of stalls sell traditional Christmas gifts and decorations, handicrafts, clothes and accessories as well as artisan products. Undoubtedly the best option to buy your Christmas items.

A true city classic. A space with more than 90 stalls where you can buy all kinds of items, especially decorative elements related to Christmas such as nativity scenes or tree decorations.
Open from noon until 8 pm daily throughout December.

Pier One Christmas Village

Located on the seashore, it is hard to imagine a more privileged location than this for a Christmas town. At the end of the park, walking towards the sea, we find Muelle Uno, an open shopping center, which has designed an extensive proposal for Christmas in Malaga. In it, in addition to the stalls, it also has snow, music and entertainment for the little ones. In fact, it has a Snow Village, with an igloo where we can find Santa Claus, but there is much more. This year there will be Winter Games, a new area for the whole family with mini golf and curling.
Its hours vary depending on the day, so sometimes it is open in the morning and in the afternoon and other times only in the afternoon.

Benalmadena Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Benalmadena is located behind the Train station in Arroyo de la Miel in the Plaza de Pueblosol opening at 11:00am to 9:00pm every day.

This is one of the markets where you can find wooden cabins with unusual gifts, local gastronomic delights, arts and craft stalls as well as entertainment for the little ones. It not only has stalls of all kinds, but also organizes activities for children to enjoy with the family.

Christmas Market in Ronda

Ronda is one of the favorite destinations for Andalusian tourism, a magical place that you cannot miss on your visit to Malaga. This city is an ideal destination for tourists, it has great beauty, and it represents Andalusia very well. Everybody visiting the south of Spain should visit Ronda. At Christmas, it gains even more charm by decorating its streets with decorations and lights. So, if you decide to visit it in the next few days, you will find a Christmas Market where you will be able to find handcrafted presents, take camel rides and enjoy a pleasant family afternoon.

The little ones will be able to enjoy numerous activities in their playground. This market is undoubtedly one of the most special for the little ones in the house since it has an ice rink so you can enjoy skating as a family.

Fuengirola Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Fuengirola takes place in the Plaza de la Constitución every year and consists of around 17 stalls until December 18. In the Plaza de la Constitución in Fuengirola you can enjoy your charming Christmas market. The main advantage of this market is its great ease of access and proximity to the bus and metro lines, so you can visit its more than 20 stalls, full of gifts, crafts, sweets, and figures without any problems.

It opens from 10:30 to 2:30 then from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. It’s not the biggest Christmas Market on the Costa del sol but it’s worth a look around for 10 to 20 minutes.
